As a repentant Israelite woman who keeps God’s laws, statutes, and commandments, I cannot remain silent about what has happened to Christianity after Christ. Over the years, I’ve come to understand that the modern-day Christian church has strayed far from the example set by Christ, and most Christians today do not follow Christ as He intended. Let’s take a deeper look at the key areas where the Christian faith diverged from the path Christ walked on this earth.

1. Christianity Does Not Obey the Commandments
One of the most glaring differences between the early followers of Christ and today’s Christians is the disregard for God’s commandments. Christ Himself upheld and taught God’s law. In Matthew 5:17-19, He made it clear that He did not come to abolish the law, but to fulfill it:
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.”

Christ was clear—His followers are expected to keep the commandments. Yet Christianity, in its mainstream form, teaches that the commandments are no longer necessary. Christians today don’t observe God’s commandments, and this is a severe deviation from Christ’s teachings.
2. Christ Kept the Sabbath (which is NOT on Sunday)
Another key point that has been misrepresented is the observance of the Sabbath. Christ was a Sabbath keeper. He honored the Sabbath day as outlined in the Bible—keeping it holy and refraining from work (Luke 4:16). The true Sabbath, according to God’s commandments, is from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, as outlined in the fourth commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). Yet, Christianity shifted the Sabbath to Sunday, following the traditions of man instead of God’s instruction. In doing so, the sanctity of the true Sabbath was compromised.
Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work…“
exodus 20:8-11

I don’t know how much more clear the Bible can be that the Sabbath is Sunday.
Now, I know there are plenty of people who like to argue and say that “SuNdaY iSn’T tHe sEveNtH dAy…” And perhaps they would
By not keeping the Sabbath day holy, Christianity has failed to honor the fourth commandment, which Christ Himself followed.
